Yuriy Seredin

born in Lviv, 1988. Yuriy started playing piano at the age of four. Yuriy received Lviv National Music Academy Bachelor and Master Degree in classical composition (2006-2011). in 2010 Yuriy received "Volodymyr Ivasyuk Composer Scholarship". after some years, Yuriy entered Berlin Jazz Institute, where he studied jazz composition with John Hollenbeck, and others. composed a soundtrack for the German-Japanese movie "Natsu no Takaramonu", which won second price in a film competition at the 41st Grenzland-Filmtage Selb, one of the oldest film festivals in Germany. also composed soundtracks for a number of films by Oleksandr Fraze-Frazenko. Yuriy has been composing, performing and recording with own projects "Evidence" and as a sideman with Seamus Blake, David Norman, Nasheet Waits, Ben van Gelder, Marek Napiorkovsky, etc. currently resides in Kyiv, where he works with major musicians of Ukrainian jazz and pop scene.
